Monday Made It July 29

This is my last Monday Made It before school starts. I have enjoyed linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics all summer. I hope to keep working on my to do list but you never know once school starts.

Monday Made It #1: Birthday Balloons

I printed these super cute balloons from Christie at Teaching in Flip Flops and taped them onto silly straws for my kids birthdays! I love the various black and white combos.

Monday Made It #2: Color Word Posters

I downloaded the cute color word splat from Wendy at Teacher's Toolkit. It is a freebie. I wanted it to fit in my Jungle themed classroom better so I used digital paper and made a frame for each one. Now they need to be laminated and will be ready to go.

Monday Made It #3: Organized Bookshelf

I HATED my bookshelf last year everything was falling off so I bought green buckets from dollar tree; however, I didn't get enough so I am on the hunt for more. I love how clean the shelf looks now. I am contemplating a taller and bigger bookshelf and then using these two small ones for something else.

Monday Made It #4: Chocolate to the Rescue

This idea came from pinterest but I just bought a frame and Hershey's bar. I typed up the saying in a cute font and assembled it all together. My friend who just moved 2 hours away loved it. She always would call when stroking out and I would deliver her a snickers. So this was a great goodbye and new job gift! She loved it too!

Monday Made It #5: Kiss Your Brain Jar

I printed the adorable chevron label from Rock and Teach. I put it on a simple container and filled it with Hershey's kisses. I say Kiss Your Brain all the time and will now have a treat to go along with it!

Monday Made It #6: Zebra Tape Binder Clips

Why not make binder clips cute while functional. I think I am going to use these to hang pictures my students make in the classroom. I think I am going to stick a push pin in the wall and then hang this on the pin to hold the students work.

I am off to do some school work in my classroom and back to school shopping today. I cannot wait to check out your Monday Made Its! Be sure to link up!

Mystery Person Cards Freebie

Last year I did a great behavior management tool called the "Mystery Person."

Everyday I pull one student's name from the jar and watch them all day. If they are on their best behavior at the end of the day they receive a prize.

There was some parent confusion so after seeing this cute secret student card from Primary Possibilities I decided to create a mystery person one. Visit her page and see how she uses these in her classroom.

Here is my version. I did some in lime green and some in pink because I like both colors and one can be for boys and one for girls. Click on the picture above to download the freebie if you would like. Have a great Tuesday!

Monday Made It

I am linking up for Tara's Monday Made it once again!

I saw this on pinterest and fell in love thanks to Plum Adorable.  The materials needed are found in the picture below.

Begin by pouring a small amount of the floor cleaner into the vases and swish it around. Dump out the extra cleaner. Next pour in your glitter and move it back and forth until the entire vase is coated! I think I am going to buy some flowers to go in them and complete my decorations.

A DIY chevron tote bag. I did this one for my Mama's friend who had a birthday. It isn't perfect but not too bad for the first try. I didn't have freezer paper which would iron on to the bag and stay in place so I used wax paper instead. I printed off a free chevron template and traced the design on my wax paper. I used a cutter to make a stencil and then placed it on the canvas bag and painted.

I made some new glitter clothespins for my classroom. I wanted a turquoise color. Very pleased with how they turned out.

I am ALWAYS losing things I need for assessing my students so I put the alphabet and numbers in photo albums and made a cute cover for my sanity. Now I can store all of these in one place! Hopefully that will make things easier.

WOW!! 166 people have already linked up! I am off to check out everyone's great creations!

Sunday Smorgasbord

I am linking up with Michelle at Fabulous in First for her

In my busy week, I was nominated for the Liebster Award. Thanks to Jordan at Sweet Little Things for nominating me; however, her link back to her blog is not found so I don't know exactly what I am supposed to do from here. I am hoping this is just a small malfunction and it will be fixed and I can update this tomorrow.

I have admired these shoes for a long time on other people's feet and I am glad to say I now own a pair! They are so comfortable!

I am LOVING my new fitness watch. It tracks my calories for seven days to see how much I burned in that amount of time. The number showing below was during cheerleading camp and dancing so major calorie burning happened that day!

This is a body fat pincher for a fitness enthusiast. I did not show my body fat on purpose! You pinch your arm, stomach, and thigh and it gives a measurement for each area and then a total. I haven't used it in a long time so I was HAPPY HAPPY to discover my body fat had gone down some!!

My friend yells crazy sayings during our workouts as motivation. This was her newest one and it made me laugh so hard.
Sweat like a pig to look like a fox.

This is an app on my phone that I use during workouts. It allows you to set your own timers and changes colors and sounds with each timer. I use it a lot during cheerleading conditioning as well.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Shopping Goodies

I LOVE when they begin putting out new school stuff. I feel just like a kid buying new school supplies. It does make me sad that it is closer to the end of my summer.

The two pictures on the right are from Michaels. I am super excited about the pockets for labeling. In Pre-K we have to change the manipulatives on the shelves monthly and this will make my life much easier. I will not have to scrap up old pictures anymore! YAY!! I love the puzzle cards too. I like the color of the letters. On the left side are items from Dollar Tree. I am thinking maybe we made it through our first week monkey party since my classroom is a jungle theme.

The puzzle is from Target in the dollar section. I want to say I paid 3.00 for it which is GREAT because they are normally seven or more at Big Lots. The other three items are from Dollar Tree. I LOVE the teal chevron letters!! I cannot wait to use them! I think the owl and butterfly puzzles are just cute! They may end up in the treat pile because I would be upset if we lost a piece.

The top two pictures are from Walmart. I was looking for photo albums for some storage pieces and scored when I found these on sale half off! The zebra treat bags will get used at some point throughout the year. The bottom two pictures are from Michaels. The chevron border was just too cute to pass up since that is my newest obsession. I also couldn't pass up the puppet masks. Not sure how I will use them yet but my creativity will come up with something I am sure.

Hope you are finding some great buys while out shopping too!

My Planner

I finally decided on a planner thanks to Samantha from

I created my own but I love her editable chevron binder covers so much more. I have several sections that are still empty like class list. I decided to put my planner in a binder so I could add to or take things away as needed. We have to turn the IQ Guides in so a binder makes this much easier. I backed the covers on file folders so I would have easy accessible tags.

I have a calendar separate from this that will travel with me more. It is super cute and from Fun In Fifth. She shared it as one of her Monday Made Its. Click the picture below to visit her page and download it too!

Have a great Tuesday! Off to cheer camp today....if it isn't cancelled again.
