Monday Made It July 25

This is my last week before I start back to school. I am linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for

  http://4thgradefrolics.blogspot.com/2016/07/monday-made-it-july-25.html

My first made it is a back to school gift for the new teachers I will be working with. I used cute scrapbook paper and cut it to the size of the frame and added their initial.

My second made it was inspired by a friend on Facebook. I looked everywhere for a tutorial and couldn't find one. I painted the wood a dark brown and used burlap ribbon to make the cross. I hot glued the ribbon on the back and scrunched the middle together and secured it with hot glue as well. Lastly,  I added the center piece. I love how it turned out!

I finally finished my chair I showed a few weeks ago. I bought stickers from Michaels and voila made a Happy Birthday chair!

This made it comes from Pocket of Preschool. You can click her image above to see her original post. I had a foam board already laying around the house so I utilized that to make my display for my kiddos. I am really looking forward to using this as a visual for my students in helping them make great choices. She has a lot of cool stuff in her TPT store. Be sure to check her out!

I am off to check out all of the other inspirations for my last week off!

Monday Made It July 18th

It is only two weeks until I go back to school and I have a lot to get done. So thankful for Tara at 4th Grade Frolics and her Monday Made It to keep me on top of things.

At the beach last week we drank a lot of water, so I asked everyone to save their tops. I used some stickers I had around the house to create real and found items for games in my centers. I think I will put the alphabet ones out with some word cards so they can create words.

My second made it is a positive postcard to match my classroom theme. I want to make sure I spend more time highlighting positives in my classroom this year. I am planning to send these home at least twice weekly. I got the cute clip art from KHDigi. You can get this as a FREEBIE from my teachers pay teachers store here if you would like to use it.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!

We got new classroom chairs. So I decided to spruce one up a bit. My room is full of aqua so I spray painted a chair. Here is the before.

Here is the after! I am in love. I think I am going to do a whole set for my house center.

My next made it is classroom library book organization. My assistant went to the dollar tree and got the cute baskets while I made the tags. A lot of teamwork later we stuffed everything back onto the shelves before our new coworkers start in August. At least it will be presentable for them to use as well.

This will be my view for the rest of the week. I am off to enjoy the beach!

Monday Made It - July 4th

Happy 4th of July!

I am linking up with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made It. I only have a month until I go back to school and have so much I need to do. Here's to making this month successful and relaxing.

I am trying to get organized before next year. We are undergoing a  lot of changes. We bought new curriculum. There are only two classes on our campus and the other lead teacher and assistant next door retired and took a new job. So I will have new colleagues in the fall. I created these themed labels for my big totes so I know where everything is placed. The clip art is from google and the frames are from

I have put these on my bins at school already; however I forgot to take a picture to post.
My second made it is my own take on brag tags. There are a lot of options already created out there but I needed some that were Pre-K friendly and easy to look at and know what they are for since my students are not readers yet.

Be sure to check out all of the other great ideas!
