Monday Made It Week 3

Monday Made It time again! Be sure to link up with Tara for her fabulous linky party.

Monday Made It # 1: Book Bins

I got the ice bins from Walmart. I wrapped them with duck tape. Zebra to match my jungle theme and chose different colored letters to attach so I will know what center they go in. I love the size of the ice bin for books. It holds just enough for centers and will help children know where to return the books to because they will be uniform in all centers.

Monday Made It #2: Chevron Art

I love the new chevron designs everywhere. So much I am tempted to change my classroom theme but instead of going through that. I painted a canvas for my niece.  I like it so much I think I am going to do one of my own. The only bad thing was my pencil lines did not erase well. I saw a canvas bag DIY on pinterest and think I might attempt that next.

Monday Made It #3: Frame Painting

One of my cutest and sweetest buddies is moving away. I sing this song to him all the time because you cannot look at him and not smile. I can't find a picture of us that I like for the frame yet so it is still a work in progress.

I cannot wait to see what everyone else has made. It surely makes Mondays enjoyable!!

Monday Made It #2

It is time for Monday Made It Again! Yay! I always look forward to Mondays in the summer.

Monday Made It #1: Candy Bar Awards

I found the candy bar awards on pinterest; however, I could not locate any jungle themed awards. I purchased the templates from Scrapin' Doodles and began creating the awards with the sayings we chose for each child. They were a HUGE hit. I love them because what child doesn't love candy!!

Monday Made It #2: Water Sponge Bombs

I was inspired to try this idea in the picture above for my niece and nephews to enjoy this summer. They love to get wet and what better way to enjoy the fun than with something they can throw around together. If you click on the picture above, they have a video on their website about how to make them.

First start by cutting your sponges into thirds as shown above.

Secondly arrange them in 3 by 3 arrangements for a total of 9 cut sponges.

Lastly put a ouchless hair band around them and fluff to desired look. I think the ones above look much better with more colors but I used what I had.

Monday Made It #3: Picture Frame Necklace Holder

I have seen these on pinterest and so decided to create one. I bought an 8X10 frame, a cork board, duck tape zebra sheet (perfect size for this frame), and push pins. I cut the cork board to the size of the frame and wrapped it with the duct tape. I stuck push pins in the best that I could and began hanging on necklaces. I love it and it matches my room decor perfectly!

Monday Made It #4: Wedding Planner, Maid of Honor, Etc

Here is the one and only picture I had time to take on my own camera before the wedding ceremony on Saturday. The bride was beautiful and the wedding turned out pretty on the lake with the sunset in the background. My only complaint was the heat and gnats! But we all made it without killing each other in  the quick three weeks she decided to get married and plan her wedding!

Can't wait to check out everyone's creations.

Monday Made It YAY!

I am linking up with Tara for the GREAT Monday Made It! It kept me so organized and on top of things last year. I cannot wait to see how it goes this summer!

Monday Made It #1: Book Bin Labels

I HATED the way my bookshelves fell apart organization wise last school year. So I am determined to make this work better for myself. I created these labels in word with clip art and I am going to attach them to my baskets whenever I decide on one I like. Everything that I have tried so far has either been too big or not big enough. It must be cute too!

Monday Made It #2: Wedding Fan

My friend Kelly decided she wanted wedding fans last minute for her wedding this Saturday. So I suggested we just make something simple and save some money. Here is my creation. She absolutely loved it which is all that matters anyway!

Monday Made It #3: Wedding Survival Kit

I saw this in Davids Bridal website and decided I could make one of these on my own. I purchased lots of things that we could either forget and need at the lake house or things that could just come in handy in case of an accident.

Have a great Monday and enjoy everyone's creations.

June Currently

I am linking up with Farley for her June currently. WOW at the number of people who have linked up already!

Listening to the pouring down rainstorm outside my windows and thinking how good it sounds to hear the rain falling

Loving my new running shoes....not only are they cute but oh so comfortable. I got to run the other day in them and love the feeling of a new pair of shoes.

Thinking I need to go to bed and get some sleep in this lovely sounding rain

Wanting cheer camp to be successful...It is my first camp of the season starting tomorrow. It is with a new school and new group of middle school girls. I am always nervous when we begin stunting with new groups.

Needing to organize...Organize everything. School, house, life, cheer, and the list goes on

On vacations I MUST have sunglasses, chapstick, and my phone. I need sunglasses because I like to be fashionable but also the bright sun bothers my eyes. I need chapstick because I cannot stand dry lips and the beach always seems to dry them out quickly. I like to have my phone to keep in touch with my friends and play my games.
