Monday Made It #3

I am joining Tara over at 4th Grade Frolics for her fabulous Monday Made It! This certainly makes Monday mornings enjoyable to wake up and see what everyone has been inspired to create this past week. I was not as successful with creating things this week since I had cheerleading camp.Camp was very successful and Praise the Lord injury free!

My first creation was inspired for my art center bulletin board. I have searched everywhere for a bulletin board that includes colors in a jungle theme.
T-8707 Color Monkeys Mini Bulletin Board Set
I could only find this monkey one and personally it is not my favorite. The monkey isn't as cute as I would like for him to be in my room. So I thought of animals in the jungle that I don't have incorporated in my room already and elephants won. I found this cute clip art from google that is Carson Dellosa and changed the colors in paint. Then created my own color words for each one.

My second creation is my I'm done cards inspired by the famous I'm done jar on pinterest. I haven't decided what else I would like to offer as an option but here are a few of my options. I will display these cards on my small group board so students know their choices before we start small group. Hopefully, it will eliminate the famous question of "What do I do now?"

I also spent a good amount of time printing out flannel board stories from  Kiz Club. They have a great selection of stories. Some of the ones I printed and colored to save on ink are The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Mouse Paint, 5 Little Monkeys, and Where Is The Green Sheep. Click on the picture below to go to their website for learning resources.

Be sure to check out all of the fabulous ideas everyone else has contributed by clicking on the button at the top of the page! I am off to cheerleading camp again this week!

  2. I like how you went about creating your own resources to fit your classroom theme and style. I sometimes forget that we can do that :)

  3. I have a bunch of flannel board stories from Kiz CLub too. I printed them on t-shirt transfer paper and then ironed them onto white felt. Worked like a charm.
