My Planner

I finally decided on a planner thanks to Samantha from

I created my own but I love her editable chevron binder covers so much more. I have several sections that are still empty like class list. I decided to put my planner in a binder so I could add to or take things away as needed. We have to turn the IQ Guides in so a binder makes this much easier. I backed the covers on file folders so I would have easy accessible tags.

I have a calendar separate from this that will travel with me more. It is super cute and from Fun In Fifth. She shared it as one of her Monday Made Its. Click the picture below to visit her page and download it too!

Have a great Tuesday! Off to cheer camp today....if it isn't cancelled again.

Monday Made It

I am linking up with Tara and her fabulous linky once again. My list keeps growing with all of the great ideas everyone posts weekly.

I used zebra duct tape and wrapped popsicle sticks for my mystery person jar. For those who do not know what that is, I pull a random stick from the jar daily and never announce who it is. All day long we watch this student for good choices. If they make good choices, they receive a prize at the end of the day.  It worked extremely well last year!

I went on a dollar tree hunt for these green bins that fit perfectly on my bookshelf. It will hold my personal books that I read to the students at large group time. I thought they needed some pizazz so I added the chevron tape. I really like how it turned out!

I found this on pinterest and decided I needed one ASAP for my classroom. Pre-K students have a hard time communicating how they feel instead of tattling. I am hoping this chart will help. The chart is just a picture on pinterest without a link so whoever made this kudos to you! My version is below.

At the end of the school year we threw all of our dry erase boards out and discussed going to Lowes to buy the dry erase board. Well when everyone posted their versions on Monday Made It I was inspired to follow through with cute duct tape too. The teal color is a scotch tape and it doesn't stick really well. The corners keep coming off. The bottom was my favorite. It was a small roll of duct tape and worked perfectly!

Hope everyone has a great Monday. My cheerleading camp was cancelled an hour ago so I can enjoy my Monday at home working on school stuff. I am trying to not be MAD about the fact that the AD scheduled something in the time frame the cheerleaders were allowed to have the gym. Have a great Monday!

Attendance Freebie!

I am working diligently on my to do list before school starts. It is not getting any smaller it seems. I did manage to cross one more thing off the list. I created an attendance chart or checklist chart for quick access. I love to have things that are both cute and functional. I am going to print it off and bind it for an attendance book. I also think I will print some and have them handy for quick checklists for field trips or other information.
You can grab your free copy of it by clicking the picture above! Hope you enjoy it too!

Monday Made It July Week 2

I am linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made It!

I needed more things with alphabet recognition in my classroom last year so I went to dollar tree and bought the pans and wooden magnetic letters. I wrote the letters on the pan and matched them. I made one uppercase to uppercase one in order and a lowercase to uppercase one out of order for those who need a greater challenge.

I bought a set of canvases from Walmart and came home to open it and find this lovely rip in it! I was NOT happy. So I stuck it in the corner and thought maybe one day I will get some inspiration.
Well while cleaning my room, I found all of my sunglasses and thought there has to be an idea on pinterest for a sunglasses holder. VOILA I found the picture below. Super cute idea. It doesn't link to anyone so if this is your creation claim it and I will be glad to give you credit.

Here is my version using materials that I had around the house. I love how it turned out. It isn't perfect but cute and functional.

Well I am off to cheer camp but cannot wait to see everyone's creations when I return home. Have a great Monday!

Sunday Smorgasbord: Random Information

I am linking up with Fabulous in First for

Random #1: My NEW NB Calorie Monitor

I am a fitness enthusiast and LOVE to work out! I got this new watch this week and I am in love! It monitors calories, steps, distance, etc. You can do an all day burn or just a workout burn. It is twice what my old heart rate monitor was calculating. Obviously I needed a new one!

Random #2: Cheerleading Formations

My week has consisted of white papers with blue lines and a million various formations. I have mixed music, choreographed a routine, and created a cheer. Starting tomorrow I will begin teaching this routine to a local high school.

Random #3:

Two of my favorite things chevron print and this saying! Hope everyone has a great Sunday! Off to church.

Favorite Pins Friday

I am linking up with Cara at The First Grade Parade for her new linky. I love pinterest and like to see what everyone else pins too.

We are getting iPads next year so of course I need a display with rules so we know how to use it correctly. Thanks to Fluency21 I didn't have to create one! They also have other posters for use with the iPad but this fits my students best.

I am in LOVE with the chevron design and was so happy to find this FREEBIE! Thanks to Write in the Middle I have a super cute cover and sections for my binder.

Editable Chevron Binder Covers {Freebie}
This frame is perfect for the day I get married. My Daddy and I go walking all the time. Our favorite place is at the beach. I want to give him one of these with a picture from my wedding whenever that day may be. The only link I can find is to the actual picture below. You can click on the picture to be taken there.  If you know who deserves the credit, I will be glad to give it to them.

This was an INCREDIBLY good workout! I love full body at home workouts that I can just fit into my day. Taylor Ryan at Lifting Revolution is great about providing this type of workout for on the go. It was a total calorie torcher!

I like the idea of creating busy bags for my early finishers or just when I need something to pull quickly to help a student reinforce a concept. I love that Arlee from Small Potatoes hung them on a towel rack so they are visible and not tucked away in a bin where they cannot be seen.

My last pin for the week is Glittered Jars from Plum Adorable. She used these for Valentines but I love glitter and thought they could be a cute addition to just about anything in my house. I have added this to my to do list and hope it turns out as pretty as the one pictured below.

Hope everyone has a GREAT Friday!

Monday Made It July

After a WONDERFUL week at the beach last week, I am linking back up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for her fabulous linky. I apologize for the long post but I am linking up two weeks worth of made its because I didn't take the time last week at the beach.

Monday Made It #1: Workout Cover

I was in MAJOR need of workout motivation before my beach trip and wanted all of my workouts in one place. So I created the cute cover with my new favorite saying. Then I put all of my printed at home workouts in my binder. It was great to easily access one workout each morning at the beach.

Monday Made It #2: Weather Chart

I got this wonderful freebie from Mrs. Scoma at First Grade Fundamentals. I cannot wait to add this to my science center next year. I am going to laminate it and then place it on a filing cabinet with a magnet on the arrow where the students can easily manipulate it.

Monday Made It #3: Science Alphabet

I am in love with this super cute alphabet for my science center. Bridget from Little Lovely Leaders did a fantastic job creating something cute as well as functional. She offers many different vocabulary choices for each letter of the alphabet. I printed them, cut them out, and I am going to display them on a poster board. Due to her copyright requests I did not post a picture of my version. Be sure to click the link above and go to her website.

Monday Made It #4: Letter Mazes

This made it is more of a time saver for myself. My students loved the letter mazes last year but I always had to write them out and didn't have the time when a child requested it fast enough. So I created a file on my computer so I can print them and have them ready for students. This could also be used for homework. I give the students a dot marker and have them dot out the letters to the end. Several people asked for the file so click here for the lowercase set of mazes. I am still finishing up the uppercase one and will post it soon.

Monday Made It #5: Pre-K Planner

Since it is July I figured I better start my organization planner for the year. I have a lot to print for it but I am running low on ink so that will have to wait until a trip to the store. I am in LOVE with chevron so why not create something cute that will make me smile all year long! The chevron background is from Surfin Through Second and the frame is from LB Designs.

I am heading to check out all of the other made its and become inspired to create more. My list is growing so long!
